I didn't feel bad about tacking our Karathress kill on the end of the Morogrim/2.1 post -- that fight was effectively a glorified trash pull. While Leotheras wasn't terribly difficult, I still feel like he's worth his own news post. He has been one of the harder and more interesting fights in the game so far, and really one of the more fun. There's a great deal of individual responsibility in this fight, and it gives a lot of people a bit of a chance to break out from their normal roles.
There's not much I can say is wrong with the encounter, there's a slight random factor that you could conceivably try to complain about, but it's nothing unmanageable or unfair. It's just a good test of overall raid skill.
Update 6/4: We made it back into SSC on Monday and took out Lurker too. That means in one week we went from Hydross killed to working on Vashj! We had worked on Lurker just a little in the past, but the fight is a lot easier with the retuned boiling water. Frustrating cloth-instagibs have been removed, and the incoming damage is much more fluid now. Rather than being a bit irritating and luck based, the fight is now a good movement and awareness test, really reminiscent of C'Thun.
With Lurker down, the bridge is open to Vashj for us now. We've started playing with her; the fight looks immensely fun, and definitely a tier up in difficulty and coordination requirements from the rest of SSC. Should be an interesting challenge.
