We'd scheduled a trip to Silithus on Sunday with intent to kill Emissary Roman'Khan and finish off a round of Abyssal High Council members, the summoned raid bosses. A while before raid start time, Kazzak popped on us, and we headed down to take him out. He went down really smoothly and we headed over to Silithus.
We started off in Silithus killing the Roman'Khan. He's almost exactly the same fight as Kazzak, interestingly, only easier. Better watch out Shamans, we have +25 NR pants now; your Earth Shocks cannot phase us!
Next we headed over to the Twilight camps to summon some of the Abyssal High Council raid bosses. On our first spawn we got the fire boss, Baron Kazum. Looks like Sulfuron and dies even easier. AoE knockbacks are good fun though. Second was the water boss, Lord Skwol. This bloke actually gave our raid a run for its money. Massive AoE poisons make the fight a bit taxing; he hits decently hard too. We took him down but it got a bit scary. :) Third boss was, anti-climactically, another fire boss; he died just as cleanly as the first, but we actually got one of the epic drops this time. Even if this stuff isn't quite as profitable as a night in MC, it's nice to see more raid content like this made available. It was also pretty fun going into these encounters having little or no idea what the bosses would do; having to adapt on the fly.
