Login servers were sketchy last night. At 15 til raid time we had about 25 people on. Things weren't looking good for Chromaggus. Luckily right around start time the servers decided to stop sucking and our raid promptly filled!
Chromaggus had been spiting us with his buggy Time Lapse and his fancy ignite flesh; insolence from two headed dogs will not be tolerated! Tonight was definitely the night to kick Nefarian's dog. After a couple, erm, "warmup attempts" and some "rebuff practice" we killed him. We actually came close to disenchanting one of his fabulous prizes, but a mage with Magister's saved the day.
On to Nefarian. We found him sitting smugly on his throne. Eyes glazed over and staring straight ahead, he spoke to us about time and some other stuff we didn't understand ... and then the games began! Blue and Bronze Drakonids for our first lock. Not the best combo. Our mages had little trouble AoEing down the bronze drakonids, but the blue ones put up a bit more of a fight, what with being heavily frost resistant. Within a few attempts though, Nefarian was upon us.
And so was his Shadowflame. Almost all of our raid was instantly killed.
We are now officially blocked by Nef's new unavoidable AoE shadowflame until we have a handful more [item]Onyxia Scale Cloak[/item]s. Lovely. If we're lucky with scale drops we can probably get enough saved up to kill Nefarian within the next two Blackwing Lair locks. Until then we'll keep refining our phase one strategy a bit, and work on getting everything else to more of a farm status.
