After a handful of close calls on Wednesday against the Twin Emperors, we decided to make a list of consumable to farm over the weekend. Mongoose Potions for the DPS, Flasks for the tanks, Mageblood Potions for the healers, Winterfall Firewater, Arcane Elixir, Chimaerok Chops and much, much more. Our preperation over the weekend paid off nicely to say the least. After a couple warmup rounds and one very close call (7% wipe to the 15 minute enrage), we buffed up and went in with confidence. We killed them with 3 minutes left on the clock. Where Huhuran was a gear-oriented fight more than anything, the Emperors were definitely a skill-oriented fight and it makes me extremely proud to see the guild jump this hurdle so quickly.
In other news, our good friend Garr finally dropped his Right Binding on Sunday, completing our first [item]Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker[/item]! I'd like to think this had something to do with me jokingly writing "Thunderaan after MC when Garr drops the right binding" into the raid schedule, but we all know the real reason it dropped is that McTingles wasn't on the raid. We finished off the MC clear in just over an hour from that point and the guild headed to kill Onyxia while Hard helped me finish up the Elementium Bars.
Even though we only told a handful of people on the Kael'Thas IRC, word spread pretty quickly and almost all of Invective, Dominus and SPG, along with a handful of others, greeted us as we arrived in Silithus. In spite of the serveral hundred people there, frame rates remained relatively high, and once Thunderaan spawned we wiped him out in all of about 30 seconds.
I'd like to thank everyone who helped me get this, from those that offered free transmutes, to the people who donated an extra Arcanite Bar after I crafted a [item]Lionheart Helm[/item] or [item]Stronghold Gauntlets[/item] for them. I'd especially like to thank my guild, Reason, for being supportive of me and making this all happen. Good night!
Edit: Oppressed <Invective> made a video of the Thunderaan event. I think Cith recorded one as well that I'll get a link up to soon.
