We finally got Patchwerk down; wow this fight is monstrously difficult. Most of the time when you hear people talk about Patchwerk people label it as a DPS test. We didn't seem to struggle with this aspect of the fight, and even without consumables we were on par for a clean kill most attempts. Rather the fight ended up being astoundingly demanding on the healers, and our tank's gear. Since we really haven't been farming even BWL too long in the grand scheme of things, tank gear might have held us back more than we realize. Something as "simple" as the 8 piece Wrath set bonus can take you pretty far this fight. The other thing that's exceptionally strenuous about this fight is the demand on consumables. You pretty much need four flasked tanks with Greater Stoneshield Potions up the entire time. While in one attempt that's not too much to worry about, over the course of a few nights of learning it adds up, very very quickly.

Grobbulus!
Grobbulus!

Grobbulus ended up being the quickest fight in Naxxramas for us to learn thus far. Not to say it's the easiest, I still think Razuvious is, but we spent less time learning this than anything else. A good deal of raid coordination and awareness is required to pull this fight off successfully, but earlier fights like Faerlina and even moreso C'Thun have taught us a lot in that regard.

We finished off the night with one rather unsuccessful pull of Gluth, and from a first glance it looks like it'll probably the second or third hardest fight of the zone up to this point for us.

Edit 8/2/06: Since we forgot the screenshot last week, we went in and got Patchwerk again early this week. We've also got a damage meters thread about our first kill floating around the forums for those that are interested. Our second Patch kill was a bit slower then our first clocking in at just over seven minutes. Our raid composition was very heavily healer-stacked though, and we were running with minimal buffs, and a couple melee types got eaten by Hateful Strikes when a tank went down. Uhh, heh, yeah. Grobbulus on the other hand went down cleanly again; Cith and I were running fraps so we should have a video of it up before too long on the Reason video site, from both healer and tank perspectives.
